FAQs

ARE YOUR FLOWERS ALREADY 1-3 DAYS OLD?

Click here to register and I'll contact you with my availability and a few drying options.

HOW DOES THIS PROCESS WORK?

CAN YOU PRESERVE MEMORIAL FLOWERS?

Yes, absolutely. But we can only accept pre-dried memorial flowers. You can hang them upside down or I can send you professional drying instructions using silica gel, which is available at Michaels, JoAnns, and Amazon.

The first thing to do is to pick the date of your wedding or special event. Once you have the date, you'll reserve your spot in my online calendar and start thinking about your order and what size or add-ons you'd like.

Once I receive your reservation, you'll receive an email with instructions for shipping your fresh flowers after your event (the sooner, the better!). As soon as I receive your flowers, I get to work on properly drying them. While they dry, you and I will discuss and finalize your order, and I'll send you an invoice for the remainder.

Before I begin working on your block(s), I'll send you a layout design for approval. Once I get your thumbs up on the design, I'll start pouring the block and your work is done! The entire process can take anywhere from 20-28 weeks, depending on the season and how booked we are.

CAN YOU USE ALREADY DRIED OR PRESSED FLOWERS?

YES! Simply reserve a date as you would with fresh flowers and I'll send you modified instructions for mailing your dried beauties.

HOW WILL MY FLOWERS LOOK WHEN DRY?

HOW DO I KNOW WHAT SIZE BLOCK TO CHOOSE?

While I wish every flower dried the same, unfortunately they do not. Red roses dry very dark, while some others dry so paper thin that they're transparent in resin. Bruising can happen easily and often times it's completely undetectable until the flowers are cast in resin. Dried flowers are an entirely different kind of beautiful than fresh. They're unique and can transform in the process, but I believe that's what makes them incredible pieces of artwork.

This really comes down to the size of your flowers and how many you'd like included. Bigger flowers will need more room and likely require a larger block. Remember, you'll approve the design before I start, so we'll discuss all of this beforehand.

HOW DOES SHIPPING WORK?

You'll overnight your flowers to me within 1-2 days of your event (instructions will be sent to you) OR you can drop them off if you're local. Once your pieces are complete, shipping will be calculated by size and weight, and then applied to your final invoice. Again, if you're local, you can arrange to pick up your pieces once they're complete.

HOW DO I CARE FOR MY RESIN PIECE?

The most important resin rule is to keep your piece out of direct sunlight. I use the highest quality UV resistant resin, but any resin can yellow over time if kept in the sun. You'll also want to keep your piece out of extreme heat, which like sunlight, can cause the resin to yellow.

Clean with a damp cloth and be sure not to use anything abrasive that can scratch the surface.
